Do You Want a Great Music Education Experience?
Here are 10 Reasons why Mill Woods Music is the community’s number one choice for music lessons:
1. Private Music Lessons in Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Voice and Violin.
We are the only music school in Mill Woods to offer private instruction in 6 of the most popular instruments – Piano, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums, Voice and Violin – in one convenient location.
2. Easy and Convenient South-East Edmonton Access.
Mill Woods Music’s spacious teaching studios are easy to get to whether you are driving or using Edmonton’s Public Transit. There’s plenty of parking, nearby stores for quick errands while your child has their lesson and direct access to Mill Woods’ primary roads.
3. Teaching excellence in the Mill Woods community since 2004.
Every year, aspiring musicians start up their own teaching studios and within a year or two these studios close. Mill Woods Music is the exception! Having more students than was comfortable in our home-based studio and seeing a genuine need for exceptional music education in Edmonton’s south east, we expanded and incorporated in 2004! Our proven track record of offering quality music lessons in the community year round has been trusted by more than 600 families.
4. Caring and committed music professionals.
Each member of Mill Woods Music’s talented teaching team is interested in learning about your personal music goals and helping you to achieve them. In addition to having high standard music credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and are dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson. Our teachers are committed to making your music education a well-rounded experience that focuses on developing proper instrument technique and strong musicianship skills in the context of good old fashioned fun!
5. It’s never too late to start… and you don’t have to stop!
Mill Woods Music teachers are comfortable working with students of all ages and levels. From absolute beginners to students embarking on post-secondary music training or performance aspirations, we help students attain their music goals. If you’ve always wanted to learn to play an instrument and have finally found the time to get started, we’re here to help. If you quit lessons as a child and have since regretted that decision, we can get you back to enjoying your instrument. Our primary goal is to get students excited about making music, no matter what age or level!
6. Private Lessons and more!
In addition to the private lesson, students are encouraged to participate in Mill Woods Music Workshops and perform in biannual Mill Woods Music Recitals. We also support our students participation in Music Festivals and Performances at local community facilities such as senior’s residences.
7. Year-Round Lessons.
Learning to play a musical instrument or developing the singing voice is a physical endeavour that requires consistent physical training just like any athlete trains to achieve their peak performance. At Mill Woods Music we offer lessons 12 months of the year so that students maintain their optimum performance level and progress efficiently.
8. Measured Progress.
Every parent wants to know how their child is doing in their lessons and how well they are progressing. One of the best ways for a parent to see and hear progress is to have their child participate in recitals. The experience of performing for one’s family, friends and peers is a strong motivational tool as well as being a fun way to compare your child’s performance level from one year to the next. Mill Woods Music also provides biannual progress reports that address music specifics for each individual student. We encourage parents to sit in on their child’s lesson at any time so as to better understand the music learning process and to help monitor home practice in a caring and productive manner.
9. Focus on Music Education.
We create plenty of opportunities for students to play music for fun and enjoyment. Developing the skills to become proficient and self-sufficient on your instrument is what leads to the most musical enjoyment overall. At Mill Woods Music we won’t just teach you how to play a few licks from your favorite tunes, we’ll teach you how to learn your favorite tunes on your own.
10. Month to Month Lessons.
Mill Woods Music does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student who works with us is working on a month-to-month basis, one-on-one with a professional music educator. You can start your lessons at any time of the year and when you do, we’ll assess your level and abilities and then customize your individually structured lessons accordingly.
If you are ready to start your music education experience, you have nothing to lose. We only want students who truly want to work with us and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
